Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has said that the incumbent PTI government has laid a foundation of change by discarding the old traditions. He said that the government is promoting austerity instead of profuse expenditure adding that social change may take time but it is long lasting.
In a statement on Sunday, Usman Buzdar said that development of far flung and backward areas was the top priority of the government. We are determined to improve the living standards of deprived segment of the society, he said and added that by using IT government will make the standard of good governance and services more better. He said that process of services was being effectively monitored through Citizen Feedback Monitoring Programme.
He further maintained that the reach of chain of services is being extended to the far flung cites through information technology. System of most of the public offices in Punjab has been made computerized. Record of government employees is also transferred on the computer in various departments. Paperless automated system will automatically improve the standards of services, he added. The chief minister said that complaints against the government employees have been reduced due to the utilization of IT system. He said that IT system bring the corruption level on zero. Economic circumstances will be changed by the setting up of 10 industrial zones in the province. Government wants to complete the process of setting up of industrial zones as soon as possible.
Usman Buzdar further stated that setting up of industrial zone in southern Punjab will reduce the sense of the deprivation among the people of the area. He said that southern Punjab will emerge as a prosperous region of the Pakistan. He said that investment of billions of dollars was being made in Punjab. Past mistakes will rectified by boosting the process of industrialization, he added.
